atomic orbital model
thingiverse
Printable models of atomic orbitals complete with a sturdy stand and clearly labeled axes. These detailed models were generated using Mathematica software and then enhanced with the addition of stands and axes via netfabb. The content includes: s orbital, px and py orbitals which exhibit identical shapes and require printing twice, once on each axis. Additional components include pz orbital, dxy orbital, dzx and dyz orbitals (identical in shape, also requiring printing twice, switching the x and y axes). Other features of the model include d2z orbital, dx2-y2 orbital, fz3 orbital, fx3 and fy3 orbitals (the same shape printed twice with switched x and y axis) and finally fz2x, fz2y orbitals and fxyz orbital. To achieve optimal results, it is recommended to print this model in two sections before gluing the components together. Print Settings: Rafts: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 30% Notes: This model was successfully printed using Builder DualFeed, CEL Robox and Ultimaker original+ 3D printers. Occasionally, support structures may be necessary to ensure a smooth print process.
