This is a straightforward experiment for the approximate calculation of atmospheric pressure. It's part of various experiments on the subject "pressure." By pulling the sealed glass syringe with a Newton-Meter, a vacuum will be created in the syringe. The force applied to the surface of the piston can be measured by students using a Vernier caliper and then calculated as an approximate value for atmospheric pressure. Note: The single print hinge on the clamp is swiveling, but it takes some force to open it for the first time. I've made clamps for 24mm and one for 25mm due to the very large tolerance in the glass syringe area.
