Atlas without ball
thingiverse
Replica of Atlas Statue by Bruno D'Arcevia, but without the ball. Ideal for carrying small ball-shaped objects like tennis balls or twisty puzzles. Inspired by RyanPuzzleTwo's maker and a forum post on twistypuzzles.com. The source scan of the statue is available online at myminifactory.com in the framework of Scan the World. The license status is unknown. The ball size is rescaled to 50mm, and the statuette is resized to fit this size. Used STL to Openscad source to make it customizable in customizer. The statue size with a 50mm ball should be around: without ball (base to finger): 61.1mm x 47.3mm x 115.6mm, approximately including 50mm ball: 74x60x128mm. The update includes placed STL inline making it fully customizable now! Printed twice and found acceptable so removed the work in progress label. Print Settings: Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Notes: Just print the provided STL file without ball (named "atlas_WITHOUT_ball_50mm_HighPoly.stl") and rescale size linearly if you want a different ball diameter. A low polygon version is available as well.
