These are replacement lathe dials specifically designed for the Atlas lathe, providing larger and higher contrast dials than those that come standard with the machine. Two versions are available: one with raised text and another with embossed text. The embossed version can be filled with silicone caulking to create high-contrast markings, similar to the Atlas micrometer stop dial. Special thanks go to Lyle Peterson (mrpete222) for his encouragement to develop these dials as well as providing a photo of the finished product. His YouTube videos offer detailed installation instructions and showcase an adapter he created to align the witness mark with the outer diameter of the dial. Before ordering, carefully review the provided measurements to ensure a proper fit. Importantly, this dial will not be compatible with older series Atlas lathes featuring 1/2" diameter dials. A small register is present on the side of the dial, although it's not visible in the drawing. To print this feature correctly, users must flip the dial so that the numbers and graduations face upwards. The test part included serves as a smaller section of the dial, offering a chance for experimentation with filling markings if desired.
