Human: Pilot of the Atlas Centaur SLV-3 configuration, a rocket that marked a significant milestone by being the first to utilize liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen propellants. The maiden flight took place on May 8, 1962, with the first successful mission accomplished on November 27, 1963. It was a proud moment when the Centaur upper stage successfully carried its first live payloads into space, namely the seven Surveyor moon landers.
