Revamped gears, particularly tumbler and change gears, are designed for the Atlas 10" lathe. The gears boast a 20-degree pitch angle, with the 60-tooth gear having undergone redesign on September 26th, 2013. If you've downloaded an older version, please replace it with the latest iteration. The white gears are naturally colored Taulman 618, while black ones were printed in natural hue and dyed black using Rit dye. These gears were sketched in Google Sketchup, employing the Involute Gear add-on and STL Export plug-in. Expect more gears as they're developed. Note that these gears are flat on one side and might need a spacer. Job files were created with Slic3r. Taulman 618 nylon is used for printing; you can acquire it from taulman3d.com. Nylon runs quietly, necessitating no lubrication, with a recommended print temperature of 240°C.
