Athens Inspired Pens
thingiverse
We designed three distinct pens inspired by the city of Athens, each reflecting the Greeks' appreciation for intricate patterns and textures that characterize our historic metropolis. 1] 'The Column' This pen is straightforwardly named after the columns found throughout the city's temples and buildings. 2] 'The Link Fence' The shops in Athens feature ornate security fences to safeguard their premises when closed, inspiring this pen's design based on a chainlink pattern. 3] 'The Triangle Mesh' Triangular patterns adorn both ancient and modern structures across the city, influencing the creation of this pen. Each pen boasts screw caps to prevent leaks, features a substantial thickness for secure grip by adults and children alike, and is designed for use with the Parker Rollerball refill, providing a delightful writing and drawing experience. We utilized an Ultimaker 2+ 3D printer to create these models, printed at 0.4 mm nozzle width (with 0.6mm also an option). We invite you to share your prints with us!
