ATH-M50X Hinge fix (pure PLA, no tools required)
thingiverse
This part replaces the small nub on the ATH M50X that prevents each hinge from hyper-extending. You won't need any screws, glue, or tools for this build - just standard PLA material. I've experimented with different designs to strengthen the pieces. Print Part 1 flat and Part 2 at a 45-degree angle, as specified in the STL file. The two parts fit snugly together without clearance, relying on the slight flexibility of PLA to ensure they align properly. Version 2 Update: I've rotated Part 2 so that the lock piece slides into place from the top. This makes assembly slightly more challenging, but it prevents the lock piece from slowly coming loose over time. This solution has proven durable for a couple of months with average use. If you encounter issues, simply print another one. I may develop a smaller version featuring standard size screws if there's sufficient interest.
