Atelier Shallie Shallistera Bell Prop
thingiverse
This model represents Shallistera Argo's iconic bell prop from Atelier Shallie, which has been broken down into two primary components: the bell itself and the handle. To assemble these parts, connect them with a rod slightly smaller than 1/4"; I opted for a 3/16" fiberglass rod and securely fastened it in place by epoxying it into pre-drilled holes on both sides. Adequate stiffness is crucial, so avoid using fragile materials that might compromise the integrity of your model. When gluing the parts together, ensure they are properly aligned (rotationally) to prevent any potential issues later on. To create the handle, I divided it into four separate components and included them in this model for those who prefer a simplified printing process. For assembly, use superglue and epoxy to bond the parts together securely. Once complete, apply a durable finish using XTC-3D, Modern Metals Gold, hand-painted details, and a gloss coating. This choice of finish was influenced by my previous experience with a similar bell model, which often suffered from scratches and dings at conventions due to its fragile nature. In contrast, this revised design prioritizes durability over a high-gloss appearance.
