atat flexed legs
thingiverse
Great design by timrbsnow. This model has a design waiting for action. I prefer motion, so I used the original files (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1069981) to create legs that are flexed, giving more dynamics to this nice ATAT. I adjusted the base file, making leg pins longer. Post-printing, the base has longer pins. Fit the legs in place and use a welding torch to heat the pins; they will melt, creating a solid fixture to the base. When the material cools down, position the legs as desired. The headpiece can also be adjusted. Heat the triangulaire part just enough to make it flexible. Push the head into the body and position it as you like. I used Meshmixer to adjust the legs, Sketchup to enlarge the pins of the body, and 3D Builder to manifold the parts. Meshmixer can also do this, but sometimes the end result is not as nice as I want it to be.
With this file you will be able to print atat flexed legs with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on atat flexed legs.
