atari ST - GOTEK case mod
thingiverse
This custom mount for the Atari ST moves the screen and relocates the 2 buttons to the top of the machine, making it easier to access. The 9-Pin DSUB ports are relocated to the rear of the machine, allowing for a more convenient setup. Two M3x8mm bolts are used to secure the retainer to the back of the control bezel, providing a solid hold. This bar holds the 2x 6mm tactile switches in place along with the screen, adding a touch of elegance to the design. The required hole is cut into the top vents using a Dremel tool, and two-part Epoxy is used to fix the bezel securely. For the Ports, two male and two female 9-pin DSUB ports are soldered pin-to-pin with ribbon cable, providing a seamless connection. When cutting the ST casing, be cautious of the cleanup and deburring process as the vents will become fragile once cut through.
