Revised 11/14/2016 : Adjusted pin slots on one side of plug to match pin dimensions more accurately.\nAtari SOI plug designed for making custom SIO cables for disk drives, SIO2Arduino and other applications. This design has been successfully printed and works well. Suggestions are welcome in the comments section. The plug part was printed with a .2mm nozzle using .25 parameters at a layer height of .11mm, resulting in good quality prints. However, results may vary depending on the nozzle size used.\nComplete the plug by adding contacts. Testing has been done using contacts pulled from an old AT power supply's motherboard power connector, but they can also be purchased online from companies like Digi-Key. For example, Molex reel connectors are available at http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/molex-llc/0008500105/WM2300CT-ND/467825.\nThis design has been successfully used in a 400, 800 and 600XL Atari computer systems with excellent results.\nPrint Settings:\nPrinter Brand: RepRap\nPrinter Model: Highly Modified Prusa I3\nRafts: No rafts were used during printing.\nSupports: No supports were needed for this print.\nResolution: A .2mm nozzle was used at a layer height of .11mm to achieve good quality prints.\nInfill: 40% infill density was used.\nNotes: All testing has been done using ABS plastic. If you use PLA or other materials, please share your results in the comments section.\nThe recessed holes on the case have built-in support that needs to be removed with a drill bit after printing.\nBefore assembly, the print may require light trimming of any printer artifacts. A M3X12 screw and nut are used to attach the case halves. To prevent wire pullout, use a small zip tie around the wire in the space provided prior to the wire exit of the shell.
