Atari Cart Zero

Atari Cart Zero

thingiverse

A mod that replaces the insides of an Atari 2600/7800 cartridge with a Raspberry Pi Zero (or Zero W). Perfect for getting Retropie up and running quickly. Installation of the Pi Zero requires no hardware modifications - it simply snaps into place. No permanent change is made to the cartridge case, and when installed, the difference is only visible from the "business end" of the cart. Access to the micro SD card slot is available without removing the Pi from the insert, but the insert must be removed from the cartridge in order to access it (unless you want to modify the cartridge, which would make the mod more easily noticeable). Updated v8 includes provisions for a power button. As long as this listing remains active, you can find the buttons I used on eBay [here](http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mini-Momentary-Push-Button-Switch-for-Model-Railway-Hobby-7mm-Pack-of-10-Red/172709382653). The buttons thread directly into the insert, no hardware modifications required. I've also included an STL for a simple tool that I designed to make screwing in the button easier... It's not necessary, but it does make it simpler since the button is close to the inside wall and doesn't allow much room for gripping with your fingers. I'm using the instructions found [here](https://howchoo.com/g/mwnlytk3zmm/how-to-add-a-power-button-to-your-raspberry-pi) for wiring up the button without any additional hardware modifications required.
