A few variations on a cartridge holder for Atari 8-bit cartridges are presented here. These holders are designed to accommodate carts intended for the 8-bit computer line and XEGS, not Atari 2600 or 7800 cartridges. The necessary files for Sketchup are included. With my homemade Prusa i3 printer, I successfully printed the designs without support material - although a slight plastic droop occurred at the very top of the arch, with higher layers printing perfectly fine. These holders should have enough slack to accommodate your carts, but if your walls sometimes come out a bit thick, consider multiplying the size by 1.02 in both X and Y dimensions. The Cartridge slots measure approximately 22.5mm x 66.5mm, with a height of 20mm to hold each cartridge securely. Twenty percent infill is sufficient - you could also use 15% or even less, but using 25%-30% would make the holder heavier and more stable than it needs to be. Using some brim to ensure the back part sticks might be a good idea; I used a 1.28mm brim with a 4 x 0.32mm layer height and got excellent results. The ATARI logo is prominently displayed on the front of each holder, while custom chip names are discreetly hidden inside the arch for added personalization.
