Hi! I'm excited to share my project with you. Here's how it works: as a customer, you'll be an integral part of the design process by contributing your own drawings. The knob and doors are crucial components of furniture, so let's make them stand out. Firstly, I've personally used knobs that I designed myself for over three years without any issues, even using them multiple times daily. They're built to last! Plus, since they're made from PLA, a biodegradable material derived from plants, our project has a significantly reduced carbon footprint compared to traditional petroleum-based plastics. Now, let's talk about costs: each knob can be produced for approximately 0.62 euros (PLA), while the door panels come out to around 1.40 euros in material costs. Here's how we can bring this project to life: First, you'll share your design with me on paper or through a computer program. I'll then use Inkscape to convert it into a digital format and transfer it to Blender for 3D modeling. Once the object is created, I'll prepare it for printing using a slicer software. To get started, we'll need: * A computer with Inkscape, Blender 3D, and a slicer * A scanner to digitize your design * A 3D printer with a large enough build area (6 square meters) * Two workstations and one operating station * Furniture for the printer Once you've shared your design, I'll use a scanner to capture it digitally. From there, I'll vectorize the drawing using Inkscape and then import it into Blender to create a 3D model. The final step will be exporting the file to the slicer software and starting the printing process.
