Laser Cut AT-AT =============== I originally created this model for a friend who was playing Star Wars Legion. The scale is about right, but neither of us were bothered that much by the difference. Design ------ I wasn't able to find any schematics for an AT-AT so I used a variety of sources for inspiration for the model, including Wookieepedia and stills from clips from the various movies. I've had to be fairly creative in some places where not a lot of detail is shown. So it's by no means an exact replica. The Legs, Feet, Neck and Guns are articulated, and the various doors and hatches are cut out, not hinged though. The main body shell was drawn in Tinkercad, and then exported into Slicer for Fusion 360 to create a Folded Panel layout, everything else was designed in 2D using Illustrator. Dimensions ---------- 485mm Tall x 545mm Long x 230mm Wide Approximate scale is 46:1 (Assuming an original height of 22.5m) Requirements ------------ + 3mm MDF (I required 6 x 600 x 400mm sheets) + 1.5mm MFD / Card (1 x 600 x 400 sheet) + 4 x 15mm M3 Bolt + 4 x M3 Nut + 2 x 10mm Book Screws (Chicago Screw or Binding Screw) with a 5mm diameter shaft + 12 x 15mm Book Screws with a 5mm diameter shaft + 1 x 60mm 3mm diameter rod (3mm bamboo skewer) If you are pre-painting the MDF be careful that you don't apply it too thickly as the tolerances are quite tight, you may need to sand the cuts (particularly in the feet). Instructions ------------- There are some instructions available to download, hopefully they are detailed enough to help you put it together, if you've gone to the effort of cutting this out.
