The Saxon is a British armoured vehicle utilized by the army and offered to several international groups in limited quantities. Originally developed from earlier projects AT 100 IS and AT104 by GKN Sankey, it will soon be replaced by Future Rapid Effect System. Initial production was handled by Alvis plc. Notable users include Hong Kong Police Tactical Unit, Bahrain, Iraq (mainly police now), Malaysia, Mozambique (25 delivered in 2013), Nigeria, Oman, Somalia (50 second-hand donations from Djibouti in April 2013), and Ukraine (75 vehicles purchased, with 20 delivered through Defense Ministry).
