Asymmetrical Dino 2x2 Rubik's Cube
thingiverse
This is a special mix-and-match puzzler designed with 2 levels and one single spinning corner. NOW WITH AUTODESK INVENTOR FILES Designed this month of November, 2014 and printed March, 2015. The cube was printed on my Makerbot Replicator 2 at 128% of its original size (supports and resolution in instructions). Currently prototyping a similar puzzle with a deeper cut to create more pieces and additional challenge. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Dv8UrWIfDw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8JF4vC9GgQ Print Settings Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 200 micron Notes: SCALE EVERYTHING UP TO 128% ORIENT THE EDGE PIECE SO THE ARCS ARE HORIZONTAL Instructions I recommend printing everything at 128% normal size because the clearance for the sliding parts were designed for that size. For scaling up all of the parts: Recommended: -124% for 62mm cube -size of 4x4 Rubik's Cube -#5 1/2" bolts Save Plastic: -114% for 57mm cube -size of 3x3 Rubik's Cube -#4 3/8" bolts Not Suggested: -100% for 50mm cube -may not turn well Pieces: 4-bolts 1-Core (no supports) 1-Dinosaur Corner (no supports) 3-Centers (no supports) 7-Corners 9-Edges 21-Dedge Pieces My Printer Settings for every part: -Scaled up to 128% -200 micron -10% infill -No rafts A sticker template is included in the files that could be printed as a stencil for cutting stickers. Normal core and centers will fit 1/8" screws and is a 50mm cube but I suggest scaling Object orientation seems intuitive but ask if you need help Assembly instructions are in the second linked video
