Aswang creatures serve as part of a broader umbrella of Vampire-like mythological beings in many cultures within Philippine society. This variant takes the form of Viscera Sucker, and her face is unapologetically grotesque... Viscera suckers are known to have a diet consisting entirely of internal organs or phlegmatic discharge from the sick. Similar to vampire aswang, it consumes its food using its tongue, which is narrow and tubular but not pointed like a vampire's. By day, it transforms into an attractive, light-skinned woman with long hair. At night, it grows wings and segments itself, leaving behind its lower half, taking great care to conceal it before flying off in search of victims. It is particularly drawn to the fetuses growing inside pregnant women. Viscera suckers are said to reside deep within jungle domiciles or even trees themselves. However, like vampire aswang, most infiltrate human communities through marriage.
