ASW28 Servo Portection, Servo Wire Protection & Wheel Plug
thingiverse
I created the ASW Servo wire cover because I wanted to avoid using tape. 1. To make the Servo wire cover, you must shape it around the wing root, so heat up the plastic with a small soldering iron until it becomes pliable, then place the soft plastic on the wing and press it gently to follow the curve of the wing root. Note: The left and right wings have different shapes. 2. Position the Servo Wire cover correctly and mark with a pencil where you'll make the cut, to install the Servo Wire cover, one vertical cut is required, for horizontal cuts, cut the foam 1 mm deep. 3. Attach the Servo wire clamp using quick-drying glue. I also made two servo covers, one with an opening at 90 degrees and one with an opening at 40 degrees. The ASW28 Glider Wheel Plug contains a plug that is slightly too small for my ASW28's wheel opening. Inside the body, I connected the wheel cover to the original battery plate using a piece of 3 mm plywood, so I can shift the battery to achieve a correct center of gravity.
