This model is a flush-mount adapter plate for your ASUS VG278/VG278H LED Monitor. When you remove the factory desk-stand from the monitor where it attaches to the VESA mount, there's a ~5.1mm sunk-in area that makes it difficult to install some universal 100x100 adapters. The adapters often don't fit within this sunk-in area and are left stuck with spacers or washers, which looks terrible. This filler plate is designed to make the VESA mounting flush so you can install mounts without worrying about the gaping sink-hole and save yourself from dealing with crummy spacers. It looks much better. As always, use it at your own risk. If your monitor somehow falls off of this thing (despite it being a simple spacer - you're still screwing into the monitor if you're doing it right), that's on you, not me. Enjoy!
