ASUS RT-N65U Wall Mount
thingiverse
The Asus RT-N65U router is designed for desktop use, making it difficult to mount securely to a wall due to its unique shape. To solve this problem, I created end clamps/cages that perfectly fit the angle of the router and hold it firmly in place without obstructing any ports. The picture shown is from my first prototype, which works flawlessly, but I felt it could be more robust. To achieve this, I added honeycomb patterns to the ends and enlarged the mounting points for extra stability. I used #6 wood screws to secure everything in place. I will be reprinting a new version of this design soon, but these initial clamps/cages should still work well as they maintain the same shape. They are designed to be printed flat on the bed, so you may need to rotate them depending on your slicer's settings. After printing an updated version, I noticed that the honeycomb sides were a bit too flimsy for my liking, so I increased their thickness. Additionally, I created a small cutout in the honeycomb on the right cage to accommodate the power cable, ensuring everything is now secure and properly aligned.
