Asus RT AC3200 140mm cooling fan mount stand
thingiverse
This was a fast fix using Tinkercad to adapt AntonioJose81's cool fabrikator mini fan stand legs for my Asus RT AC3200 Router, which gets pretty hot. It's not a perfect fit, but it will do the job until I come up with a better design. You'll need a 140cm PC fan, some case fan screws or nuts and bolts for the fan, and a USB fan adapter to complete this (available on eBay, or you could wire your own somehow). Assembling these parts is pretty straightforward. The parts threw up some errors here and there, but they seemed to print fine otherwise. There's also a chance that the Asus 87u and 88u chassis may be compatible with this stand, although from what I've seen, there are some significant differences under the hood. To complete this project, you'll need to print one piece each of parts 1 through 4, which are labeled with their respective corners. When attaching the fan, use a nut and bolt that matches the size used in the original design (I'm not sure which), or try using the "CFS" files, which I altered to work better with short PC case fan screws. The "CFS" files do away with the nut recess and have a tighter thread hole, so the case fan screws can grab better. Assuming more infill is used, they should hold even tighter. I used about 25% infill and it seemed to work okay. To use case fan screws, you'll need a Phillips head screwdriver that fits through the top screw holes of the case fan, or at least one that's not too big to be used to widen the holes slightly.
