You can replace the thinnest part if it breaks on this mouse right away. To install a new wheel, you'll have to take apart the mouse by removing 6 screws without damaging any wires. Remove the tiny PCB with LEDs from inside the old wheel by unscrewing one small black screw. Next, remove the lower PCB by taking out four screws. If there's still a broken axis attached to the PCB component, remove it now. Take the rubber band, round stickers, and little cylinder from the old wheel and transfer them to the new one. Carefully insert the new wheel into its component and reassemble your mouse.
