My wife's laptop has this monster of a power block, an ASUS ADP-230GB B. When her laptop is under load it gets hot sitting on the bed or the carpet - read 130°F/55°C while she was playing Borderlands. I just wanted something to give it more breathable surface area to dissipate heat from. After printing this and checking the block, it was reading only 109°F at the hottest (in the middle of the block) after being under load for a while. A great improvement for $0.70 worth of PLA! v3 is very simple, works fine on hard flat surfaces. Cheap and easy to print. With feedback I found out it was warping on non-flat surfaces though, so I made v4 that has better support to prevent this. Also extended it by 1mm since being more stable it could no longer 'grab' on to the sides. v5 is just v4 with a set of retention clips to hold the block down, making it easier to move around with. I printed that one with PLA+ and it seems strong enough to not snap, although the layer orientation does make me a bit nervous.
