Par Toutatis, a full Astérix the Gaul (Astérix le Gaulois) Costume. I cherished the comics and cartoons when I was younger; it would have been wonderful to have that magical potion. The movies were also entertaining and whimsical, probably some of the most well-known French spoken ones. This is a full Astérix costume - almost complete, you will need to provide your own clothes: a black t-shirt and red pants. The design features the belt decorations, the magic potion canteen, helmet, sword, sword sheath, and finally, the mustache. The visual appearance of this design is based on the comics and cartoons, with a nod to the movies on the belt and sheath decoration. All parts are printed with PLA at 210ºc; aside from some light sanding and super-glue, all colors remain in their original plastic form. All pieces fit the standard 200x200mm beds. Belt - Print Belt_decor_center.stl, Belt_decor_side_1.stl, and Belt_decor_side_2.stl using 0.2 layers with a 15% infill. Attach the decoration using double-sided tape. Canteen - Print Canteen_part_1.stl, Canteen_part_2.stl, and Cork.stl at 0.2 layers and 20% infill. Glue parts 1 and 2 together with a bit of super-glue. The cork may be loose; you can replace it with a real one. Helmet - Print Helmet_part_1.stl through Helmet_part_4.stl, then attach them to each other using super-glue, ensuring proper alignment with masking tape. Parts 1 and 2 require supports, but 3 and 4 should print without them, depending on your printer. Print the Helmet_wing_1.stl and Helmet_wing_2.stl for a more 3D look; glue two of each to each other. Use the Helmet_pin_X.stl to attach the wings to the helmet. Sword - Print one Blade_side_X_part_X.stl, then glue each part to its mirror. Glue both handle parts together using masking tape. Attach two pins to the guard and pommel; while they are drying, use a remaining pin to attach the blade pieces to each other. Glue the blade and pommel to the guard and finally the pommel to the guard. All parts were printed at 0.2 layers with 20% infill and 3 outer layers. Sword sheath - Print one Sheath_side_X_part_X.stl. Using masking tape, glue both parts 1 together, then repeat the process with parts 2. Attach both sheath pieces using two Sheath_internal_support_X.stl. Glue the remaining internal supports to the Sheath_tip.stl and attach it to the sheath. Glue the assembly to the Sheath_guard_clip.stl, then glue the Sheath_binding_side_1 and Sheath_binding_side_2 to both sides of the completed sheath. Finally, glue the Sheath_decor.stl to the sheath. Mustache - Simply print it at 0.2 layers with 15% infill, 2 outer layers, and 3 solid top/bottom layers.
