The urban sculpture known as Asturcones, located in the Plaza de la Escandalera, in the city of Oviedo, Principality of Asturias, Spain, is one of over a hundred that adorn the streets of Oviedo.\nThe sculptural group, made of bronze (from a wooden model), is the work of Manuel Valdés Blasco, and dates back to 2005. The artwork is the result of a commission carried out by the merged financial entity Cajastur to commemorate its 125th anniversary. It consists of a group composed of three asturcones of natural size, placed at ground level, to create an atmosphere of closeness with citizens.\nThis sculptural set, which presents a triangular shape, is the first with animal theme by the Valencian sculptor, while it is the first one he made for Asturias.
