I've been fiddling with my Astronomy Camera Holder from Thingiverse (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3944455) for quite some time, and it struck me that attaching a dovetail mount for a finder scope or telrad sight wouldn't be overly complicated. This would greatly simplify pointing the camera in the right direction.
