To assemble my R2D2 replica model, I printed out all the separate parts and smoothed them for a snug fit. Only the top and bottom body sections and the "stops" on the middle leg required gluing. As I wanted an orange color scheme, I renamed him R2B0 and eyeballed the dimensions to ensure he looked right, without striving for 100% accuracy.
