AstigmaFix For Sig Romeo5
thingiverse
I recently purchased a Sig Romeo5 as my first red dot, upon receiving it and using it for the fist time I encountered the dreaded fireball dot those with an astigmatism are familiar with. after doing some digging i found that placing your rear sight aperture behind your dot can clear up its edges into a perfect circle, the only problem with this solution is the massive loss in FOV caused by the rear sight body. this is what i came up with to solve that problem. with both eyes open the AstigmaFix fades out of view and clears up your dot nicely, while also allowing you to take advantage of the wide FOV and eyebox of your red dot sight. at the moment i do not have a mechanical mounting system for this, but as it is a hackey solution to a personal problem i think some equally hackey hot glue does the trick nicely.
