Samarra culture, dating back around 5500–4800 BCE, boasts an array of beautiful ceramics. A painted pottery sherd, in particular, showcases the region's artistic expertise during this period. The rim fragment, crafted by skilled artisans, offers a glimpse into the lives and traditions of ancient Samarra people. Carefully restored using digital photogrammetry, the 3D model provides a fascinating look at the intricate designs and patterns that adorn the sherd. As part of the Making Home Abroad research project, the team used advanced technology to create an immersive online experience, allowing viewers to explore the artifact in exquisite detail.
