According to artsmia.org's description of the panel: "This genius, or demigod, was part of a group of winged creatures facing a stylized tree, a scene repeated numerous times throughout the palace. They appear to be engaging in fertility rites associated with the date palm, a tree revered by the Assyrians for providing sustenance, hydration, wood, and shelter."
