Assorted Spacers
thingiverse
This is a pack of spacers in assorted sizes, each 30mm long and designed for use with #4, #6, #8 and 1/4" screws or bolts. I've crafted them to fit tightly on typical 3D printers, but they will strip under stress. For a strong grip, consider scaling down the width and depth by 99% or more, but be cautious not to crack the spacer. You can adjust the height in your slicer; stretching it to 300% yields a 90mm long spacer. Experiment with custom sizes by tweaking percentages for width, height, and length. The #4 spacer is ideal for this due to its 3mm inner diameter. To make a spacer for a 1" diameter screw: stretch the width and depth by 846% for a perfect fit, though it will be quite bulky. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Robo 3D Printer: R1 ABS + PLA Model Rafts: Don't worry about them Supports: No Resolution: Not a concern Infill: 100% or as many perimeters as needed Notes: These spacers print upright and don't need support, but I recommend against printing them on their side due to support removal difficulties. They're surprisingly strong when printed vertically and are essentially a stack of thin washer shapes. Printing tall versions can be challenging due to the risk of breaking free from the bed; use a raft for stability, especially with thin, tall prints. Watch closely to minimize filament waste in case of failure. When they succeed, these spacers are fantastic! I'm thrilled with their performance and happy to no longer need to shop for washers and spacers. Printing dozens at once is efficient and cost-effective. For optimal results, use a tough, springy plastic material like nylon or PETG, which will reduce the risk of cracking under stress. Always print small parts in batches to allow layers to cool before being hit again by hot layers, reducing deformation caused by overheating. Good luck!
