UPDATE: These designs are no longer current or relevant, being extremely outdated in style. It's advisable to look into whether someone has created something newer recently that could fit perfectly into the universal mounts for the 525 and other versions of the MPCNC. UPDATE: Following several weeks of use with v4 of the DW660 mount, I have introduced a new one-piece version as v5. It is significantly more rigid than its predecessor and easier to put on/take off but unfortunately, it requires support when printed. UPDATE: Added requested mounting option for 300W spindle to MPCNC toolset. UPDATE: The DW660 mount now reaches v4 due to the requirement for some clearance space below the router on the lower attachment component. UPDATE: Following concerns over the position of the original DW660 mount (QR_660_v2.stl), a new model was created that positions the tool at a higher point closer to the x-y axes. This updated design utilizes both upper 660 clamp and kt_660_spindle_clamp, allowing compatibility with PCFlyer's dust shoe; see details online for more. Original Description Designed for seamless integration with HicWic's universal mounting system for the MPCNC toolset, these mounting solutions provide various adaptation options. Print parts require precision: receiver components are crafted from PLA and other sections created in ABS at 0.3 layer thickness levels of 50% to 70%. Due to very tight tolerance specifications in this universal mounting system, it was necessary to use precise techniques like swiss filing followed by acetone polishing to achieve accurate part assembly; however the outcome was satisfactory and parts slid smoothly into place without a hitch. Further photographs will be included once my MPCNC system is successfully installed along with all its tools securely fitted into their designed mounts. It is essential to note that for an optimal mount fit, especially when using DW660 components, ensure you print at least two 660_upper_clamp pieces in preparation. For added security and pen stabilization, standard sharpie markers work efficiently with "kt_sharpie_cap" parts and can be easily secured in place using elastic bands once they have been accurately positioned within the design mount slots. Extensive gratitude must go out to both HicWic for their comprehensive MPCNC tool mounting solutions as well as a major acknowledgement to Ryan at Vicious1.com for bringing such brilliant inventions into reality.
