Assistive Paint Tube Opener
thingiverse
This is a tool to help open paint tubes. It was designed for a talented young artist whose major barrier to creativity is that she can't open her tubes of paint. It has also found use by people with arthritis for opening small containers. Designed for paint tube caps from about 10–25 mm in diameter, typically 12–50 ml capacity. The guard along the back and the thumb rest helps stop fingers curling into the working grip area. They may need further design work for individual needs. This model can be scaled in the slicer to suit larger/smaller caps. I wouldn't recommend touching the source code. Designed for [Makers Making Change](https://www.makersmakingchange.com/). Updated with source, corrected so the design was manifold.
