Assistive Paddling Grips
myminifactory
Various experiments in assistive kayak paddling grip designs continue unabated and none of these prototypes have yet to meet my expectations. Some of the designs may prove effective for casual paddling but I strongly believe they fall short for open ocean kayaking. They are specifically designed to fit Werner carbon shaft paddles. I employed 1 inch webbing and Velcro OneWrap for convenience's sake. Eventually, I envision these designs utilizing sewn straps that are easier to tighten or integrate into gloves. Original design files are available on Onshape for those who wish to replicate the process.
