Assistive Paddling Grips

Various experiments in innovative kayak paddling grip designs are currently underway. These projects remain a work-in-progress, and none of the existing prototypes meet my expectations. Some of these designs may be suitable for casual kayaking but I doubt their effectiveness in open ocean conditions. They are specifically designed to accommodate Werner carbon shaft paddles. I utilized 1 inch webbing and Velcro OneWrap for convenience. In the future, I anticipate that the grip designs will incorporate sewn straps that can be easily tightened or integrated into gloves. The original design files are available on Onshape.
