The might of North Korea's space program is dwarfed by a toy rocket that can be built for the same budget. This miniature marvel consists of a nose cone that fits snugly into or over an Estes "A", "B" or "C" motor, and a tail fin section that slips over the end. Together, they form a potent package that can soar to dizzying heights of approximately 200 feet, echoing the impressive altitude of North Korea's ICBMs. But unlike its more fearsome counterpart, this toy lacks a recovery mechanism, dooming it to self-destruct at the peak of its flight, much like North Korea's ICBMs. While it won't cause widespread destruction, the toy rocket shares another trait with its North Korean namesake: a tendency to self-destruct in mid-air.
