Assisitive flexible grip for drumsticks or other objects
myminifactory
I entered my object into the MakeShaper Design Challenge (check out all entries here). I'm really passionate about drums and I want to share that passion with as many people as possible! My grandmother had osteoarthritis problems, so I thought it would be great to create grip drumsticks for people who have similar issues. It's not always easy for them to play music, but I believe making music is a fantastic way to relieve stress and have fun. I attended the Maker Faire in Nantes last July and met the amazing team from enablingthefuture.org, who do incredible work with both kids and adults. They inspired me to offer my object in various sizes, just like you would find in a clothing store. Now, people of all ages can choose the perfect drumstick size for them and start playing music right away! You can pick your favorite drumstick type (5A, RodSticks, or Vibes mallets), select the size that fits your hand, download the correct file, cut it out, and start printing. I chose a neutral "flesh" color filament to showcase how discreet this object can be. However, you can easily customize it with fashionable and eye-catching colors to match your personality. To create your own custom drumstick model, simply download the basic shape file (no holes), scale it up or down, design a profile sketch, and extrude the mesh using software like MeshMixer. This object is not just for drumsticks; you can also use it as a holder for various common tools. I designed this invention with a focus on leisure activities, hoping to bring some joy into people's lives who face daily challenges. If you encounter any difficulties or have special requests, feel free to send me a message through Pinshape and I'll do my best to come up with a solution. File Name: "Hands Grip Basic Shape.stl" Now it's time to rock out and play music as you like!
