Assembly Tools for Axolote Hex Magnetic Base Systems
cults3d
Check out my Gumroad Store to find the Ball Dispenser & Press tool. I've created a set of tools that make it easier to insert magnets into the Magnetic Base Systems for Axolote Hex Tiles, allowing for quick assembly of the bases, dispensing and pressing 3mm ball magnets into the bottom and a 5x2mm magnet into the top. Upwards of 300 bases are needed to complete a full set. I posted the 5x2mm magnet assembly tool and a simplified version of the ball template holder here. The ball template should be mounted onto the top of a hex base with magnets already installed, holding balls in place for pressing. For even faster assembly, the ball dispenser and press tool takes it to the next level. The 5x2 base magnet insertion tool uses an embedded magnet to ensure all bases have the same magnet polarity. The embedded magnet also aligns the magnet being pressed into the base, resulting in perfect alignment between magnet and base.
