Assassin's Creed Flying V Guitar

Assassin's Creed Flying V Guitar

I designed this guitar to be a mix between a Flying V and the Assassin's Creed logo. The print is very straightforward. The body parts are printed in white and epoxied together. Made for a 25.5" scale neck. I just used a cheap replacement neck found on ebay. Some minor adjustments may be needed. For instance, the design calls for a wraparound bridge. The holes I put in the body are slightly too small for the pegs of the wraparound bridge I ordered, so I just heated up the pegs and pushed them into the body while it was still hot, effectively melting them in place. And the dimensions of the neck at the heel were slightly different from the dimensions listed on the ebay listing when I ordered it. So I've included a shim to be printed along with the rest of the parts. Place this shim between the neck and the body when you're bolting on the neck. This will rest the neck at a slight angle to improve the action. But then again, depending on the neck you use, you may not have to use the shim at all. You can use #4 1/2" screws in the pickguard pieces if you don't have any pickguard-specific screws. There is a channel down the center of the guitar body for a 1/2" carbon fiber rod. Hopefully, that will help keep the body from warping against the tension of the strings. When I put my guitar together, I decided not to put the rod in the body, but instead I put on super light gauge strings (.07 gauge strings). I decided to do this as sort of an A/B test from my previous 3D printed guitar, the Polycaster (which I have now consistently had .10 gauge strings on it). I plan to see how much the body warps under the lighter gauge strings so I'll know if I will need to put carbon fiber rods into my next design. Other than that, it's pretty straightforward.
