Whenever my downstairs neighbor cooks, I can tell exactly what they're preparing because the delicious aromas waft up through my vents. To solve this problem, I've come up with a simple solution: install a flap that closes my vents when not in use and opens them when there's a gentle breeze blowing in the desired direction.
