Asiana Airlines Inc., originally founded as Seoul Airlines, is a major airline based in South Korea, partnering alongside Korean Air as one of two top carriers in the country. Furthermore, out of seven airlines, only six - including Cathay Pacific, Hainan Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Qatar Airways and Singapore Airlines - are ranked as 'five-star' by Skytrax alongside Asiana; the seventh airline being All Nippon Airways which received the prestigious ranking on March 29th, 2013. Additionally, Asiana is one of two main shareholders in Air Busan, a regional low-cost carrier, in partnership with Busan Metropolitan City.
