Gypsum wall panel relief fragment; intricately carved in low relief; at its topmost register, a vibrant 'Garden Scene' unfolds, showcasing birds and a locust nestled among the trees. Two women on the left flank are seen holding napkins and skillfully fanning the queen with delicate fly-whisks, while two others carefully bring dishes towards the enthroned queen and reclining king, shielding them with fly-whisks as they feast in the arbour amidst lush vines, conifers, and palms. The walls of this verdant sanctuary are adorned with gruesome trophies of victory, including the severed head and hand clutching a wand, both belonging to Teumman, king of Elam. Amidst the palms and conifers, the hands of a woman drummer and a woman harpist can be observed, adding to the overall richness of the scene. Behind the king stand two more ladies expertly holding napkins and fanning him, while behind them stands a table proudly displaying his sword, bow, and quiver. Every element of this intricate relief is meticulously crafted.
