Ashford Spinning Wheel Bobbin

Ashford Spinning Wheel Bobbin

thingiverse

I designed this bobbin for a buddy who builds his own spinning wheel at home. The machine is intended to work with an Ashford Traditional Bobbin, which was the original design in mind. This bobbin is made to be used with double-drive, but it should also work well with scotch tension. If you're using this with double drive, there are 2 speeds on one end for easy switching between them. To make the bobbin, you'll need to print both ends and connect them with a piece of 1/2-inch CPVC pipe that's 4 1/4 inches long. Use some SuperGlue to secure the ends together tightly. If this project is helpful to you, please leave a comment or submit a build for others to see. Don't forget to check out my other projects too!
