With Sourbh's tutorials on GrabCad, I made this second attempt in Plastic Injection Mold design. I incorporated everything I know presently, and the mold is still underway; please be patient. The part can be downloaded from the provided link. I am self-teaching myself in Plastic mold design using Inventor for the mold creation and SolidWorks 2013 for the part. At present, I'm working on the cooling channels and ejector pins. Your comments, suggestions, and remarks are highly appreciated. Please bear with me as I learn Inventor too; hence, no renderings yet. I am grateful for the interest shown by everyone! I have added pictures showcasing technical analysis of the mold. Enjoy! A major update on 26th May revealed that I recalculated shrinkage and updated material for the ash-trays, rebuilding the whole mold with cool cooling channels and ejector pins. However, a strange error occurred, stating that the feed system is not up to date health. This might be due to gates location or the gates themselves. I am yet to resolve this issue. Lastly, I am unsure how to kinematically open the mold to check ejectors length; nevertheless, it's a progress!
