I upgraded my gas pedal spring to a Century Spring 5/8 inch od, compression spring, 2-1/2 inch length,.080 inch wire diameter, 1.140 inch solid height, 44.2 lb maximum safe load. and it would not fit over the original gas pedal plastic piece. so I made one to fit the stiffer spring.
