ASCOM Focuser mount for Celestron CGE1400 telescope. MyFocuserPro2 plans were created by Robert Brown, available at SourceForge.net. The focuser design shines, but leaves mounting to the builder's discretion. This version uses a Nema 14 stepper motor with .9 degree precision and connects directly to the telescope's focuser. The mount clamps around the existing focuser boss, coupling the motor using a flexible TPU filament printed part. A separate mount is designed for a Nema 17 stepper motor as well. This design allows focusing shaft connection via a single cable tie wrapped around the flexible coupling, eliminating set screw marks on the focuser. The motor coupling is secured to the motor shaft with an 8-32 setscrew, then attached using a second cable tie.
