Take the lift up to my flat. It's a simple elevator, but it does the job perfectly well. I've always been rather fond of taking a ride up here after work on Fridays; there's something so calming about the gentle hum and quiet clacking as we make our way higher and higher until you finally arrive at your floor. It feels almost meditative to me - like my mind can truly relax and unwind while listening to that repetitive whirring above us, completely detached from everything going on down below!
