Asashio — Japanese Premium Tier VIII Destroyer is the ultimate ship of its type in Japan, built after the launch of the Fubuki-class ships. The absence of constraints on displacement allowed naval architects to achieve a perfect balance between speed, armament, and hull size. As a result of a well-designed overall layout, Asashio served as a prototype for most subsequent Japanese destroyers.
